J & L Harley-Davidson
J & L Harley-Davidson became an authorized Harley-Davidson franchised dealership in September 1975. It was owned by John and Beverly Entenman and managed by Jim and Lonnie Entenman. In 1992, Jim and Lonnie completed the purchase from Beverly. J & L continues to be a closely held family corporation.
In 1994, J & L constructed a new building across the street from their original location on Burnside Avenue. This larger store allowed J & L to expand service area and general merchandise. In 1998, J & L remodeled the original facility to accomodate new motorcycle set up and house a meeting/training room for staff and H.O.G.
J & L soon outgrew the two buildings. In June of 2000, Jim and Lonnie Entenman broke ground for a new larger dealership located two blocks east of I-29 on Highway 38. This store was completed in January of 2001. Doors were opened to the public on Thursday, February 1, 2001. This new store allows for an expanded Harley-Davidson and Buell showroom, more parts and accessories display area and a much larger MotorClothes and collectible area. The service facility now has the capacity for eight technicians with two work benches each. The service department also has a drive-in write-up area and a dynamometer. J & L also has a paved lot in the rear of the building to conduct Rider's Edge Safety Courses along with adequate training facilities inside.
