Join Plum's Cooking Company for national food scene sensation Sean Sherman, the Oglala Lakota chef, founder of The Sioux Chef and author of the critically-acclaimed The Sioux Chef’s Indigenous Kitchen.
In this demonstration class, Sean will provide an introduction to to the modern indigenous cuisine of the Dakota and Minnesota territories, with a vision and approach to food that travels well beyond those borders.
Originally from Pine Ridge, S.D., Sean is now based in Minneapolis. For the last 30 years he has been cooking across the U.S. and the world. Sean opened The Sioux Chef as a caterer and food educator in the Twin Cities area. He also helped open the Tatanka Food Truck, which features pre-contact foods indigenous to the Upper Midwest.
