Come downtown to the Eastbank for the First Friday Block Party the first Friday of June, July and August! Enjoy live music, food vendors, beer & wine for purchase and shopping at some of the most unique stores in Sioux Falls. Picnic table seating will be provided, but feel free to bring your own lawn chair.

There will be two bands each evening. Between the bands, enjoy a Battle for the Arts competition!

The Washington Pavilion will provide free & cheap hands on kids' activities including face painting (2$ a person), beading fun & play dough from 6:00 - 8:30.

Admission is Free.

Thank you to John Small from Sunny Radio who will be joining the event with a live remote.

Entertainment Line-Up:

6:00 Opener - Songs of Eli: An alternative-rock band from Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Their music flows through a range of genres, but one key element stays the same - the passion for writing songs that grab your attention through an infectious hook or melody and contrasting musical dynamics.  Keep an eye and ear out for this up and coming band that's one of a kind in the Midwest.

7:30 Battle for the Arts: Dan Meyer (winner of July's battle) vs John Small (of Sunny Radio!)

8:00 Headliner - Mike Connor and Friends: 3 veteran musicians: Mike Connor, Boyd Bristow and Guy Gullickson make up this group.  The music is rather eclectic with a focus on Irish tunes and classic popular music.  The group incorporates guitar, mandolin and bass as well as vocal harmonies from all three players.
