Murder at the Pettigrew! Attention all you amateur detectives: there will be another murder mystery at the Pettigrew Home and Museum this January!

January 1926 – John (Cracker Jack) Morris has been shot and killed at the boarding house at 131 N. Duluth Avenue. Morris, a notorious gangster, had been in hiding from both the government and the bootleggers he was supposed to testify against. The house had been locked up by Morris’s two body guards, and no one has entered or left the building since the murder. Morris had a large bounty on his head, and all six people remaining in the home are considered suspects.

We are asking you to put on your detective hat to determine who is responsible for this crime. Participants will be taken through the home to hear statements from each of the suspects. After the tour they will sit down with the lead detective for a chance to ask questions then propose a theory of the crime. Once each theory had been discussed, the lead detective will reveal what really happened.

Tickets for the Murder Mystery, Hit Me with your Best Shot, are $10 per person and are on sale now! Shows will be Jan. 19th & 20th and 26th & 27th, at 6:00, 6:30, 7:00, 7:30, and 8:00 p.m. You can purchase tickets in person at the Old Courthouse Museum, or over the phone at 367-4210 (a $2 surcharge will be added to each phone order).

Don’t miss this once a year opportunity to tour the Pettigrew Home while trying to solve a mystery.
