Join DTSF and the downtown breweries for MASH MADNESS!
A month of opportunities to try and vote for your favorite beers beginning on First Friday, March 3rd and continuing through March 30th! Brought to you by DTSF and your downtown breweries.
Beginning on March 16th, the March Mash Madness bracket competition will move into "The Final Frosty Four" (see list below). Go to each location where you can purchase half pints of the chosen brew and use a punch card to choose your favorite! The winning beer and brewery will be announced on March 31 to receive bragging rights, and a traveling trophy! Keep checking back for updates throughout the competition.
Participating breweries and their Final Frosty Four Contenders:
Fernson Brewing Company *200 North Weber Avenue, #100 - 605-789-2012
Lion's Paw: Lion’s Paw Lager requires a feat of patience and resolve, fermented and stored for weeks until the beer tells us it’s ready to be released to the world. Fresh, crisp, and well-balanced, this German-style Lager delivers a clean and elegant finish.
Gandy Dancer at Monk's House of Ale Repute *420 East 8th Street - 605-338-2328
Brainless Wonder: Juicy IPA w/citra, simcoe, ctz, and cascade hops.
Miner Brewing at Prairie Berry East Bank *322 East 8th Street - 605-496-7175
Dr. Valentine: This Imperial Red IPA is deep amber to dark copper in the glass and offers light hop citrus and toasted malts on the nose. Fresh hop bitterness and malts are well-balanced and smooth with a lingering bitter finish.
WoodGrain Brewing Co. *101 South Phillips Avenue - 605-310-5316
Milk Stout: Sweet, dark, chocolatey, creamy goodness in a glass. Debittered chocolate malt, cocoa nibs, and lactose combine to form a rich, delicious stout that isn't heavy or bitter. Find it on nitro for even more chocolatey smoothness.
