As the weather warms, humans aren’t the only ones shaking off winter’s cabin fever—dogs love a chance to get out just as much as their human companions. This summer, Prairie Berry East Bank and Shop Dog Boutique are pleased to present Pints & Paws on the patio every Wednesday evening from 4-9 p.m.

While dogs are always welcome on the patio at Prairie Berry East Bank, Pints & Paws is a free event that gives dog lovers the opportunity to connect while enjoying a pint of Miner Brewing Company craft beer or a glass of award-winning wine from Prairie Berry Winery. Shop Dog Boutique will provide canine guests with water bowls and dog treats every Wednesday evening. Pints & Paws kicks off  Wednesday, May 24, and continues every Wednesday through September 27, during National Dog Week.

Prairie Berry East Bank and Shop Dog Boutique also hope to highlight the importance of planning ahead to keep dogs safe during summertime outings. When parked in the sun, cars act as greenhouses and can see their interior temperatures rise by more than 30 degrees in less than 30 minutes.

Dog owners are asked to observe the following rules when bringing their pets to the patio at Prairie Berry East Bank:

●      Dogs must remain outside.
●      Dogs must be kept on leash and under control at all times.
●      Guests are responsible for cleaning up after accidents and minimizing disturbances.
●      Just like humans, dogs that get into fights will be asked to leave.
