Grant & Opportunities for Artists

Grants & Opportunities for Artists is a free, collaborative event for area musicians and visual artists, highlighting opportunities for local artists to access grants and other resources to support their creative work. The event is co-hosted by Levitt at the Falls (Music Maker Mixer) and The Watering Can (Artist Speaker Series).

Live Brazilian guitar music by Edwin Galindo will open the evening from 6:00–6:30 p.m., followed by the Artist Speaker Series session beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Featured speakers Kate Vandel, Arts Grants Specialist with the South Dakota Arts Council, and Maren Engel, Arts Coordinator for the City of Sioux Falls, will discuss current grant programs and provide guidance on the application process.
