Grieg in Dialogue – A Chamber Music Recital

Experience Grieg in Dialogue, a thoughtfully curated chamber music recital featuring Norwegian pianist Oda Voltersvik alongside members of the Dakota String Quartet and Rawlins Piano Trio. The program explores musical connections between Edvard Grieg and his contemporaries, including Agathe Backer Grøndahl and Wilhelm Peterson Berger, highlighting shared poetic expression and stylistic influences.

The second half of the evening features the rarely performed Piano Quintet in B-flat Major, EG 118 by Edvard Grieg, completed in 2012 by composer Michael Finnissy. This unique work blends Grieg’s original material with newly composed sections, offering audiences a rare opportunity to experience a significant piece of musical history.
