39th Annual Festival of Bands Parade

Come celebrate the tradition, talent, and energy of one of the region’s premier marching band events in the heart of downtown Sioux Falls!

The 39th Annual Festival of Bands parade will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 3, 2026. This high-energy parade features talented student musicians from South Dakota, Iowa, Minnesota, and Nebraska as they march through the heart of downtown in a colorful display of music, precision, and school spirit. From powerful drumlines and soaring brass to dazzling color guards and dynamic performances, Phillips Avenue will be filled with excitement from start to finish.

Bring your friends, grab a spot along the parade route, and cheer on these incredible performers as they compete for top honors and showcase months of hard work and dedication.

Admission is free, and all are welcome. Parade runs down Phillips Avenue from 12th Street to 6th Street. Judging takes place close to 7th and Phillips.
