Easter Events and Specials in Downtown Sioux Falls

From Passover to Good Friday, to the Easter bunny coming Saturday night, there are many days to celebrate the holiday weekend with family and friends. Here’s a list of “good” events that don’t just happen on Fridays to attend over the weekend in Downtown Sioux Falls!

 

  1. Fill your Easter baskets at the Downtown Easter Egg Hunt

 

Downtown Sioux Falls will be holding their third annual Easter Egg hunt starting at 10:30 am on April 3. Along with over 15  participating businesses, hop around to downtown businesses of Sioux Falls with your family and friends while collecting Easter eggs and other sweet treats!

 

  1. Hop on down to Holiday Inn for their Easter Brunch

 

Celebrate Easter Sunday with an Easter brunch at downtown’s Holiday Inn City Centre. Holiday Inn will allow reservations all day on the half hour from 9:30 am until 2:00 pm. Have an “egg-cellent” brunch with your loved one’s this Easter! Purchase tickets here.

 

  1. Celebrate Good Friday at Ransom Church

 

What other “good” way is there to spend Good Friday other than going to downtown’s Ransom Church? April 2 from 5:30 to 6:30 pm Ransom Church will have a free Good Friday service where everyone is welcomed, so grab all your peeps! No RSVP is necessary.

 

  1. Watch the Orpheum Theaters production of “The Passion and the Cross”

 

Starting March 26 through April 4, The Orpheum Theater will show various productions of the play “The Passion and the Cross” for the Easter season. March 26, 27, and April 1 through 3, the play will be showing at 7 pm. March 28 and April 4,  showings are at 4pm. Purchase tickets here and enjoy the timeless play of “The Passion and the Cross”.

 

  1. Get a good workout at “Pound – At the Levitt”

 

Work off those Easter candy calories with workouts at the Levitt Shell! Workout days are April 7, 14, 28, and May 5 at 6:00 pm. Enjoy downtown’s scenery at Levitt while working out. Workouts will last approximately 45 minutes and although a free event, register now to claim your spot at this “hopping” event!

 

  1. Bring the kids to Easter Storytime & Crafts

 

Calling all kids ages three to six! Museum of Visual Materials is hosting an Easter Storytime & Crafts event on March 30 and 31 from 10-11 am. Get a headstart on the Easter weekend with a great event for the kids in your life “egg-citing” by registering for this event! Admission is $5 and register here.
