
From March 4–8th, the 2026 Summit League Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championships take over Sioux Falls. While the action heats up inside the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center, the spirit of the tournament radiates throughout the city, transforming Downtown into the ultimate game day headquarters.
Local retailers and restaurants will be offering:
Summit League Central: Jacobson Plaza. Located in the heart of Downtown, Jacobson Plaza is Sioux Falls’ newest park, and during tournament week it transforms into Summit League Central.
Full Court Color: Arena to Asphalt. The Sioux Falls Arts Commission is launching Full Court Color: Arena to Asphalt — a live public art experience that begins during Summit League and turns tournament energy into lasting neighborhood impact. Artist Les Cotton will create a live mural at the tournament where families can contribute their own basketball-inspired artwork in an interactive Design Lab. Selected designs will be transformed into custom vinyl basketball backboards installed in ten parks across Sioux Falls, leaving a lasting mark on the community long after the final buzzer.

Downtown Sioux Falls makes it easy to enjoy the full Summit League experience without the hassle and without re-parking. A special fare-free VIA shuttle route running throughout the tournament between the Downtown transit depot, The Steel District, and front-door service to the PREMIER Center.
