Downtown Sioux Falls is a great destination with many convenient, affordable and accessible options for parking. We offer over 1,000 on street and over 2,300 off street parking spaces for public use. Rates and usage restriction vary based on the time and day of the week. FREE parking is offered after 5pm and all day on weekends. Downtown Leased Parking
Sioux Falls Public Parking has approximately 2300 parking spaces in various lots and ramps in the downtown area available for lease. Monthly leased parking is available in fifteen lots and four ramps ranging from $38 to $76/month based on location and availability. Available spaces can be leased directly from the Public Parking office located in the lower level of the Carnegie Building at 235 West 10th Street.
Downtown Sioux Falls offers over 1,000 metered parking spaces at $1 – $1.25 per hour. Over 200 credit & debit card enabled smart parking meters are available for your convenience in the heart of downtown on South Phillips Avenue. Parking meters are enforced 9am – 5pm Monday through Friday.
Parking Meter Bags
Meter bags are available to be rented by companies while actually engaged in a business activity in the downtown area. Allowed activities include those that involve repair work, maintenance, construction, utility work, or moving. Vehicles parked at a meter bag must be necessary for that specific project or activity and have commercial plates or signage indicating that the vehicle is used for commercial purposes. Vehicles used only for commuting to the job site do not qualify. Meter bags are not to be used by downtown business or property owners or their employees for general parking. Payment of Parking Fines
To pay, visit this website or insert the citation along with the full payment in the envelope provided, and: Deposit in any yellow courtesy box located in the middle of each block in the downtown area; Drop off at any First Premier Bank drive through lane; Attach postage and mail.
