This Fourth of July, we’re reclaiming the street for people!
On First Friday, July 4, Open Streets returns to downtown as we close Phillips Avenue between 6th & 7th Street to vehicle traffic and transform it into a vibrant, walkable celebration.
Stroll through a lively vendor fair featuring local favorites like Aroma Dakota, Daisy Drip, Midwest MiniCities, Sioux Falls Simplified, and 605 Boxer Rescue. Plus engaging activities from the 605 Magic Art Bus with face painting, Sioux Falls Fire & Rescue truck tours for kids, Sioux Falls Curling Club, Chess4Life Club, and Sioux Empire TNR Cat Adoptions. Enjoy live music, interactive art, and delicious bites from food trucks including Backyard BBQ, Willy’s, and SDSU Ice Cream.
DTSF will be serving up free watermelon and festive Fourth of July temporary tattoos to help you celebrate in style.
Whether you’re heading to the Levitt concert or spending the evening exploring downtown, join us for a festive, family-friendly experience where creativity meets community in the open air.
