Open Storefronts in Downtown Sioux Falls

Downtown retailers are modifying capacity limits, increasing sanitization, and changing daily routines in order to create the safest possible environment in their storefronts. These businesses are paying close attention to City Ordinances and CDC recommendations. In order to ensure the safety of our community, please follow health and safety guidelines while enjoying downtown: wear a mask in public spaces, sanitize your hands frequently, and stay home if you feel the slightest bit sick.

Most retailers also offer alternative methods of shopping, such as online purchasing, curbside pickup, and delivery. Visit business websites for more details on individual store offerings.

“May you live in interesting times” is often conveyed as some kind of blessing. Most would agree that times have been a little too interesting lately. People are anxious, confused, and afraid. These are normal feelings. We all have experienced these feelings since this pandemic first took root.

We’re asked to do a lot too. Reinvent business models. Research and apply to new programs. Secure funding. Have incredibly difficult conversations with staff. Some are even doing this while teaching their kids too. It’s not easy. Make sure you go easy on yourself.

DTSF’s Response to COVID-19

Recent world events have us thinking of DTSF Members and those who live, work, and play in Downtown Sioux Falls. We hope that this notice finds you all safe and healthy.

DTSF is currently working hard in the preparation for upcoming events with the well-being of all who visit downtown in mind, which is why we are monitoring the recommendations of the CDC, International Downtown Association, and industry networks. Much will occur in the next several weeks that will continue to influence a very fluid situation.

Due to the current, ever-changing guidelines and procedures regarding COVID-19, we at DTSF have made the decision to adjust our upcoming schedule of Events & Promotions for the following:

Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt (Saturday, April 11): Canceled
