Live & Local Presents: The Good Night Theatre Collective and Fellowship Jazz Center

Overview

A Night of Big-Band Jazz, Blues and Broadway!

Get ready for an unforgettable evening of entertainment as two of Sioux Falls’ premier performing arts organizations come together for a captivating cabaret experience. Featuring top vocalists from The Good Night Theatre Collective and accomplished musicians from the Fellowship Jazz Center, this performance blends the best of jazz, blues and show-stopping Broadway-style vocals.

Founded in 2016, The Good Night Theatre Collective is known for producing professional, high-caliber theatre that showcases local talent in a supportive, collaborative environment. Their performances shine a spotlight on under-recognized theatre artists, emphasizing community and artistic excellence. Vocalists include Jess Johannsen, Emily Smith, Brady Boerema, Maren Engel and Hailey Schmidt.

Founded in 2024, the Fellowship Jazz Center is on a mission to build a vibrant regional jazz community through education, outreach and live performances. With a focus on expanding the reach of jazz to new audiences, they bring jazz professionals together to share their knowledge and passion for the genre. Musicians featured in this performance include Jim Speirs (Trumpet), Joel Shotwell (Saxophone), Andrew Reinartz (Bass), Jeff Paul (Keys) and Daniel Heier (Drums).

Together, these two grassroots organizations will deliver an evening filled with timeless standards and modern interpretations, all brought to life by the area’s best musicians and vocalists. This jazz-and-blues-infused big-band cabaret promises to leave you humming long after the final curtain.
