Overview
Radio Free Honduras is a cross-cultural, multigenerational collective of Chicago musicians that supports the artistry of Honduran folk music legend Charlie Baran. Prior to immigrating to the USA, Charlie was a renowned singer, songwriter, and burning guitar slinger in the mostly undocumented music scene of Honduras in the 70s and 80s. This band mostly plays Baran originals, selected from his songbook that spans six decades and transcends genres. With a seemingly limitless supply of energy and enthusiasm for music, Charlie and Radio Free Honduras will captive you and keep you dancing. Radiofreehonduras.com
