Overview
An Advent Festival of Lessons & Music will be held at 7:30pm on Monday, December 4th at Calvary Episcopal Cathedral, 500 S Main Ave in Sioux Falls, SD. The service features scripture readings foretelling the birth of Christ. The readings are interspersed with choral and instrumental music by the Calvary Cathedral Choir, organist Diane Van Den Oever, the Dakota String Quartet, and Jeffrey Paul, principal oboist with the South Dakota Symphony Orchestra. The service is based on one held on Christmas Eve since 1880 at King’s College, Cambridge, England. The event is free, and a reception follows the event. Details: Calvary Cathedral – (605) 336-3486.
