Overview

Celebrate the most wonderful time of the year at our Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony. There will be Christmas carols and hot cocoa. This year, we dedicate the new “Dorothy’s Tree of Hope.”

Hope can motivate us and keep us positive in an uncertain world. First United Methodist Church, with the generous endowment by Dale and Dorothy Weir, offers this symbol of hope to all who drive by her.

Dorothy’s Tree of Hope is a 40-foot majestic Mountain Pine tree, with a 5-foot starburst adorning the top. The base of the tree is 22 feet and has a total of 371 branches adorned with 38,150 lights.

We look forward to seeing you at the tree lighting! If you cannot attend the lighting, please feel free to come and park in our lot near the tree and experience the hope and peace of the Advent season.
