Come visit the Siouxland Libraries’ Downtown Library to see the New York Times best-selling author of “Ordinary Grace” discuss his latest book, “This Tender Land.”
The book tells the story of four orphaned children who escape an American Indian boarding school in 1932 and canoe down the Mississippi seeking a home. “Their odyssey is epic,” says a review in the Minneapolis Star Tribune, “and, like Homer’s original, by turns gritty and divine.
