Overview

The Second Annual Beardstravaganza is back and better than ever! Ladies can get in on the fun too with the new “Whiskerina” category. Winners receive awesome trophies, prizes from Remedy, The Man Salon, and the Falls Facial Hair Foundation as well as an overall grand prize for best in show! All proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society in honor of November being Prostate Cancer Awareness Month. Audience participation needed as well!!

In order to participate, you must download the FREE– FHL (Facial Hair League) app. This counts as your entry # and allows the judges to score you based on multiple categories from personality to execution. $10 entry fee for all participants, free Remedy pint and swag bag from the sponsors!

 

Here are the official categories this year defined by Falls Facial Hair Foundation:

•Sprint – Clean Shaven Nov 1st, grow your beard for the month. To participate in this category: come in either Nov 1st or 2nd to sign up have your picture taken. And register at Remedy

•Business Beard under 4” – The cleaner and more well kept, the better. Any styling method should be used to only accentuate, and must not be used in excess, resulting in an unnatural look.

•Best Moustache – The moustache as it naturally grows, the more natural the better. No closed curls. No styling aids allowed

•Partial beard – goatee, mutton chops, etc as they are without styling aids.

•4-8” beard – A full beard consists of hair on the upper and lower lip, the chin, the cheeks, and the sideburns, without any natural or shaven gap. Lengths are measured from the bottom of the lower lip.

•8”+ beard – A full beard consists of hair on the upper and lower lip, the chin, the cheeks, and the sideburns, without any natural or shaven gap. Lengths are measured from the bottom of the lower lip.

•Whiskerina – Ladies only! This artistic category is wide-open. Create the most realistic or imaginative and fantastic design you can, inspired by any style of facial hair. Creativity in material choice is encouraged. Google Whiskerina and be amazed. Facial hair must be attached to head without the use of your hands!
