Overview
A free, two-part series (combined) includes:
- Money management strategies, including saving for a home
- Credit reports, including a wise use of credit as a homeowner
- Financing options (including SDHDA, FHA, VA, and RD loans) and working with a lender
- Predatory lending
- Shopping for a home and working with a Realtor
- Insurance(s)
- Home maintenance and the home inspection process
Course completion often qualifies buyers for closing cost discounts. You must complete both part 1 and 2 of Homebuyer Express to receive a H.E.R.O. Certificate of Completion.
Those unable to attend may attend via video conference, but must register 24 hours in advance.
