Overview

Janitor Bob and the Armchair Cowboys (JB) started in a Sioux Falls, SD pawnshop in 1991 through a chance meeting of like-minded musicians. The band set out making music leaning heavily on a love for jam, punk, metal, alternative, and classic rock influences. Over the next 6 years, JB opened for acts as big and diverse as 311, The Allman Bros, Trip Shakespeare, and The BoDeans. They were regulars at the Pomp Room, recognized in Rolling Stone as one of the “Best Bands You Never Heard,” and became a top draw in the region. JB released three albums and received massive radio play in the area, with single “Happy Song” still serving as a regional staple 30 years later. janitorbob.com
