Overview

The Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s will take place on Saturday, September 14 at Cherapa Place in downtown Sioux Falls. Registration begins at 8:00 a.m. and the Walk is at 10:00 a.m. More than 1,200 people from the Sioux Falls and surrounding areas are expected at this year’s event to raise awareness and funds to fight Alzheimer’s disease.

On Walk day, participants will honor those affected by Alzheimer’s disease with Promise Flowers during the poignant Promise Garden Ceremony – a moving display of hope to represent the personal reasons participants join together to fight Alzheimer’s.

More than 5 million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s disease – the sixth-leading cause of death in the United States. In South Dakota alone, there are more than 17,000 people living with the disease and 38,000 caregivers.

Participants can join a team or register to walk as an individual at alz.org/walk.
