The Sound of Music

Based on the true story of the Von Trapp Family Singers, this play offers a tale of personal growth and hope amidst the horrors of World War II. Young postulant Maria Rainer is a free spirit who has trouble abiding by the strict rules of Nonnberg Abbey. Mother Abbess arranges for Maria to serve as the governess for seven motherless children. Through her journey, Maria transforms the Captain’s home from a place of dour rules to one filled with joy, laughter, and music. The classic score by Rodgers and Hammerstein features some of Broadway’s greatest songs such as “My Favorite Things,” “Do-Re-Mi,” and “Climb Ev’ry Mountain.”
